Detra Onwuchekwa (LLB, University of Nigeria, Nsukka; B.L, Nigerian Law School; and LLM, University of Portsmouth, England) is United Kingdom-based attorney, proficient in Business Law and Corporate Governance. Within the past lustrum, she received specialty training in Corporate Law; Corporate Governance; Corporate Secretarial Practice; and Financial Analysis and Decision making.

Nellie Onwuchekwa developed and implemented The Concentric Circle CSR Model and Community Empowerment Program post 1998 Oil Spill, which provided clear guidelines for managing Community / Stakeholder relations, and curbed disruption of ExxonMobil operations in Nigeria.

She was also Lead Advisor & Subject Matter Expert in Personnel Background Checks and Information Risk Management for Mobil Producing Nigeria. A Corporate Communications and Project Process Management Expert, Nellie has over the past 21 years focused on Corporate Business Process Change Management, Business Continuity Planning Strategy, Project Execution and Continual Improvement, Quality Assessment and Assurance of Security Business as well as Organizational Crime Prevention/Reduction Training.

Nellie is committed to Operations Integrity Management and Compliance. To ensure information security procedures compliance, she established an Internal Network of Professionals to track and steward security processes and safeguard measures at the grassroots level of the organization. She initiated, conceived, scripted and produced the only Information Security Video in Nigeria – “MPI – Connecting the Dots.”  For her resilience and commitment to ‘Consistent Enforcement of Compliance Standards in Information Security’ in ExxonMobil for 10 years, Nellie was awarded The Chairman’s Leadership Award in 2015.

Passionate about improving the lots of the Nigerian Youth, she is the Sole Financier and BOT Member of Afresh Global Foundation which facilitates ‘Growth Café Seminars and other Youth Empowerment and Enlightenment programs since 2008.

An Author “The Influence of Love”, and International Consultant on Business Development and Strategy to several efforts on Renewable Energy in Nigeria, Nellie Onwuchekwa is resilient about climate change, renewable energy advocacy and influencing businesses enterprises success through use of affordable and sustainable energy.

With a passion for pioneering renewable companies and events, Gen. Mike Ndubisi retired from the Nigerian Army in 2006, after 34 years of distinguished military career. Throughout his years in the Army, he served in the Intelligence Corps. He is a fellow of the Defense College and an active member of the America Society for Industrial Security (ASIS).
